Volunteer: "Adopt" the Heart of the Community GardenHelp us clean up the Heart of the Community Garden in Harrisburg!
Interested in helping to keep Allison Hill beautiful? Join us in our efforts to keep the Heart of the Community Garden clean and tidy! This is the perfect opportunity for friends, families, or small professional groups looking to give back! We need volunteers who can: Clean up trash to restore the garden space Mow the grass (we have a lawn mower you can use) Weed and water plants If you are able to bring your own gardening gloves, that would be very appreciated, but not required! Other revitalization activities as needed, such as painting, building small structures, etc.We are looking for volunteers to "adopt" the garden each week. You can choose the week that fits with your schedule and can volunteer as little or as much time as you'd like. You can volunteer any day during that week between Monday - Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.). Occasionally, we will have weekend opportunities. Please write the day and time during the week you'd like to volunteer and if you are bringing any additional volunteers with you in the comment section after you hit "Respond." This is the perfect opportunity for friends, families, or small groups looking to give back! We are looking for volunteers to assist us in keeping the planters clean and free of litter heading into the winter months! We'll supply you with everything you'll need (gloves, litter pickers, and trash bags). You can volunteer any day during the week between Monday - Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. or you can assist on weekends and we can arrange for pickup of the cleanup supplies.
