Join us in saving our environment one step at a time!
In collaboration with Keep America Beautiful, we have a volunteer opportunity for anyone who loves our planet and wants to help change it for the better. We are hosting a Harrisburg Litter Index! You will drive around a designated area in Harrisburg and take note of the amount of litter you see in different areas. Scales and maps will be provided beforehand, and there will be a navigator from TCCA showing you where to go. Volunteers will be broken up into teams based on the different areas, then led to each place in their own cars. We will be offering reimbursement for any gas mileage used during volunteering. This opportunity will be happening on Saturday, November 1st, from 9 AM - 12 PM, and a bagged lunch will be provided.
There is also a MANDATORY virtual meeting on October 30th from 5 - 6 PM to talk more about the expectations for the opportunity. If you want to be involved but can't make the meeting, please email adatesman@cactricounty.org.
